What Is an Enhanced Criminal Search?

An enhanced criminal record search is an add‑on to our standard Canadian Criminal Record Check.

Response times are typically 15 minutes to 4 hours.

This search includes everything in the regular Canadian Criminal Record Check, plus an expanded review of the Police Information Portal (PIP) and additional local, niche, and RMS databases. These sources may reveal:

- Criminal convictions without a granted pardon

- Conditional and absolute discharges not yet removed from CPIC

- Probation information

- Wanted person information

- Accused person information

- Peace bonds

- Judicial orders

- Warrants

- Withdrawn, dismissed, or stayed charges

- Any negative contact with police
